REIGNING champions Prime Property Panthers made a convincing start to the defence of their title with a 22-point victory over Le Mont Saint Fiat at Beau Sejour on Wednesday night.
Playing under the banner of Collins Stewart Inferno, they were the team to beat in Division One last season.
And early indications show that they have not lost this mantle over the off-season as they had very few problems overcoming their great rivals in the opening match of the 2009-10 Division One campaign.
‘We’ve not trained a great deal because of the National League, so it was quite pleasing to come out and play like that,’ said Panthers coach Pat Ogier.
Panthers had a 10-point lead at 23-13 by the end of the first quarter.
