BIG FAL said it was some of the best football he has seen this season.

The well-respected former island coach and current St Martin’s boss, Colin Fallaize, was an enthralled spectator at the final of the island junior schools’ seven-a-side tournament at Hautes Capelles yesterday afternoon.

La Houguette, captained by Fallaize’s 10-year-old son Jacob, took the crown after they defeated Capelles 3-1 in a cracking game of football.

Fallaize was in raptures afterwards and he is not one to mince his words.

‘The standard has been excellent and it’s been the best entertainment I’ve seen this year on a football field,’ he said.

‘There were some of the best goals I’ve seen this season as well. I’d buy a few of those goals if I could.’
