E.I. STURDZA are off the mark in the OSA Ladies’ volleyball League.

They won their first game of the season in straight sets against ASL.

E.I. Sturdza started the first set strongly with amazing court cover from Michelle Green and all round steady play from Liz Pang, winning it 25-15.

The second was a much tighter affair with ASL coming back playing a good three-touch game and maintaining a five-point lead throughout most of the set.

However, E.I. Sturdza never gave up.

With good team work and determination they pulled level and finally took the set 30-28.

Lisa Batty starred for E.I. Sturdza at the beginning of the third set, earning nine points on her service. This allowed the team to relax and play their best volleyball of the game and the season.

Player of the match for E.I. Sturdza was given to Claire Green who deserved it with her good court cover and incisive hitting.
