INVESTEC Colombians got one hand on the Men’s Division One with a crushing defeat of their nearest rivals, Legis Independents, at Foote’s Lane on Saturday.
As the league nears the halfway point, Colombians have now got 19 points from seven games and have nine more points than anyone else.
They are looking certain champions.
‘All season we have been getting better and better and this was undoubtedly the best we have played all year,’ said Colombians captain Matt Watson.
‘Bearing in mind that we were missing Tristan Cairns, Tim Creasey and Jan Collins, it just highlights how much strength in depth we have.
‘Every single one of the lads deserve credit and with the second team winning 7-1 as well, it was definitely a good day to be a Colombian.’
The league also saw Unwantables jump over Indies into second place.
