‘Ignore rumours and go for vaccination’

DO NOT be put off getting your child vaccinated against swine flu.
That is the advice from director of public health Dr Stephen Bridgman.
Letters are currently being sent out to parents of all 2,700 of the island’s children aged six months to five years.
‘It has not been the catastrophic doomsday scenario which had been predicted, but it is serious for those who have become very ill and their relatives.
‘It is these rare cases that we are trying to avoid with this vaccine programme, which we are recommending,’ said Dr Bridgman (pictured).
He said evidence in the UK showed children under five were several times more likely to catch the flu strain and some had been admitted to hospital and even intensive care.
‘There have been a lot of rumours circulating about the vaccine and we are concerned that is it putting people off. I understand people want to do the best for their children, but if I had a child in that age bracket I would certainly get them vaccinated and would have no safely concerns,’ he said.
The vaccine is administered in two half doses three weeks apart, in accordance with UK and European recommendations.
‘If you are exposed to the live virus, you are already armed with a strengthened immune system. Your body will recognise the foreign invader and snuff it out,’ he said.

i had the swine flu jab and was very worried because of all the side effects u could get, but i had it done and have had no side effects apart from an achy arm and shoulders my in laws have had it and only had a achy arm where the injection was done, i would get my children done and would recommened to any of my friends with young children if the children get swine flu it can be much worse then the side effects from the injection kim

Kim, I would not believe a word that the director of public health Dr Stephen Bridgman says. I am pleased you had the jab and you had no adverse side effects. However, I feel that perhaps you have been intoxicated with the liberation the jab has given you and its changed your life. You want to spread the good news of this life changing experience by ensuring that not only your friends have this jab but also their children and then their lives can also change and a knew beginning can encompass their lives. I wish I shared your excitation. Neither I, my wife or our child will be having this toxin injected in us nor will we be encouraging our freinds or their children to have this toxin injected in them by some money grabbing GPs who are making thousands out of poisoning both adults and children alike. The same GPs don’t have a clue what the long term side effects of this toxin will do to their sheep like patients and do they care. ‘You bet they dont’…..Lets be honest to some GPs the bottom line here is money not the health of the islanders.

i can’t believe the comments by Anti N1H1 Jab! i too have been “jabbed” as have my two children. I have not been liberated in any sense – i am totally aware that it does not give 100% protection and will continue to be very careful with protecting my own health and that of my children. This persons’ comments are ignorant. This vaccine is based on the same vaccine that has been used against flu viruses for years – do you think all vaccines are toxins?? Even successful ones such as polio, measles, whooping cough etc?… The use of these vaccines has nearly erradicated these dangerous illnesses.
The vaccine is being used so widely to stop this virus spreading and affecting those who are at risk of serious complications. GPs are not using this to make money – it is for society’s benefit. Yes, they are having to charge for the jab, but this programme has taken a lot of organising and surgery staff are having to work excessive hours to provide extra clinics.
i suggest you stop being so selfish and consider those who are less healthy than yourself.

Sun/Hat/Off – the latest flu variant, N1H1, is highly contagious but only communicable between readers of the Daily Mail.
Symptoms include general indignation, a fall in the value of your property and near fatal levels of gullibility.

N1H1, or eNHaitch as it’s known, fondly, in the industry, is noxahydroxol, a chemical injected into babies at birth inside the womb during pregnancy, usually around delivery, but sometimes at conception, which turns slowly withing the spinal cavities creating small amounts of Stre0flax, the stuff that makes us shrug when presented with credible science and expert opinion.
I’ve been campaigning, along with my Angels, at comical highspeed for years to open up this human rights abuse, but it seems I am too two dimensional, a little too old for folk to get any references.

Morning Aunty N1H1 Jab. Ignorant?? Moi?? I certainly hope not. I’ve got an exam tomorrow on exactly the sort of acute inflammatory demyelineating polyneuropathies that you’re so indignant about!! So, if you DID want to have a proper discussion on the neuropathophysiology of the swine flu vaccination, I’m MORE than happy to indulge you.
Sadly, I rather fear the aetiology of your indignation can be traced back to some sensationalist journalism rather than fact.

Everyone is entitled to his/her views; personally I won’t be having the vaccination, nor will I encourage my family to. The reason? Not enough trials have been done to ensure safety. Perhaps there will be no side effects – but I am not prepared to have what amounts to be a bit of a gamble for the sake of it. Why, if it so safe will the medical members of my immediate family NOT be having it? Why are some of the Health Board NOT having it? Why arnt all front line health staff having this as mandatory?
Serious side effects may not be discovered for many years. But, as I say – everyone is entitled to their views and it is still a free democracy with freedom of speech (unless you live in the UK of course).

And by the way, these are NOT rumours. Why did one particular drug company obtain a patent on the swine flu vaccine one year before it was in existence? Fact. Why has this vaccine not been thoroughly tested? Fact. Why do the pharmaceutical companies have no liability if things go wrong? Fact. I could continue but you can do your own research and make an informed choice.

TL – Mercury: destroys brain cells; aluminium: destroys immune system; squalene: the adjuvant damages immune system, to name but three. And yes, I wouldn’t have the seasonal flu jab either. I have a perfectly good immune system to help me, supported by a healthy lifestyle.

Aw, Vega, bless. Mercury has been used as a preservative in vaccines since the 1930′s. Thousands of studies have shown that it poses no risk to humans. Dunno where you get the rest of your ingredients from?
FYI the only ingredient of tamiflu is oseltamivir phosphate which isn’t really a cocktail, it’s just a big word – but don’t be scared!! All the current research and clinical trials suggest that it is worth taking.
Finally, a quick history lesson, swine flu aka H1N1, is a variant of the the seasonal flu, aka H1N1. Are you old enough to remember the previous outbreak of swine flu H1N1 in America in the 1976?? I’m not. But, despite what the conspiracy theorists and the Daily Mail says, this is a flu strain that has been around for decades…. so probably not just a coincidence that a drug company has been working on vaccines…..
Seeing as I’m shattering your beliefs here, I might as well tell you that Elvis is dead, the moon-landings were real, there was no second gunman, there never were any WMD and swine flu wasn’t brought to earth by aliens in 1947 at Roswell. Sorry.

unfortunately, many people are not so healthy and many people die of seasonal flu each year – hence the seasonal flu jabs. The most that anyone has got from them is a mild case of flu.
H1N1 is just one strain of the same thing, and the vaccine is no different from the seasonal jab. Scaremongers like you are endangering the lives of those that are vulnerable to catching flu.

quite right, TL. The idea of vaccines is, not so much to protect the individual, but to limit the spread of the illness to those who have a less healthy immune system. Of course it cannot be mandatory, but i would hope that anybody with any sense would ignore the scaremongers and have the jab – either that or hibernate for the winter…..

There are plenty of ‘scare’ stories on the flu and swine flu vaccine if you know where to look..
go to Mercola.com and type in swine flu vaccine and see what you find.. I think I would rather my 10 year old daughter and myself get swine flu than have all of those chemicals ‘forced’ into my body, there is an abundance of information on the net about the harmful effects of this vaccine, the best way to fight this is to catch it and let your immune system do the work, if you live quite a healthy lifestyle and look after yourself your immune system will do its job and fight off the flu.. Obviously if you have any underlying health issues, this may be a slightly different story, but if you have no other health issues to take into account you really shouldnt need the vaccine.

Crikey!! I’ve checked out these websites and I retract EVERYTHING I said earlier.
It turns out that Michael Jackson was killed by the CIA when he threatened to reveal that the whole swine flu pandemic was made up by those guys who make the paper face masks!!
As a trainee health professional, I do have a duty of care, so the best advice I can give you all is this…
Avoid public places. Avoid buses and cars with more than one person in them. Avoid buildings with people in. DO NOT take the lift. Use the stairs, but only when the coast is clear.
Buy your supplies at night when the infected are sleeping.
Quarantine everyone. Create separate ‘clean rooms’ in your house and allow only one person per chamber. Communicate only using conspiracy website forums.
If, despite all your efforts, the infected do come for you, you’re likely to meet a few other intrepid survivors. Join with them to fight the infected. If any person in your small group of survivors is bitten by the infected or has the contaminated blood of the infected enter their mouth or an open wound, then kill them immediately. They will be infected and will attack you without mercy once the virus takes over.

So many people in the health business these days just look at the bottom line……… Obviously being a “THP” you are being fed all sorts of loveliness from your superiors. All I would say is – whilst no one believes everything written on the internet, neither should we believe everything pedalled by our lovely health profs either – they may think they are little God’s but that yet has to be proved.

Not all people in Gsy are easily brainwashed….My wife and I agreed that our little boy will not be having the jab and neither will we. Of course the only winners are the pharmaceutical companies and the doctors who must be making hundreds of thousands of pounds out of a virus which in all honestly is nothing compared to the yearly flu epidemic………….. Perhaps the likes of student bob & githead are suffering from ‘whine flu’…….Because they don’t half ‘whine’ and ‘whine’…………………

At the end of the day, it comes down to who you are most prepared to believe – doctors, medical professionals, scientists and the researchers who all agree that the jab is safe OR a bunch of conspiracy loonies who are running about in tinfoil hats licking dogs desperately trying to get their 15 minutes of fame before they succumb, mercifully, to some sort of severe cold…..
I’m bored of the complete lack of evidence/fact/sense backing up everyone else’s hysterical lunatic ranting.

Its really funny how short people’s memories are,only 4 years ago president Bush predicted that 2 million American’s would die from Bird Flu, how many actually died from this..non, not one single person, and now predisend Obama has declared a swine flu emergency..in the mean time the worlds biggest industry in raking in billions by the month..you followers keep on following and be content with being controlled by news reports and what your told to do, what is expected of you, dont think for yourself, your not expected to ‘think out of the box’ you have to go with the flow coz you wouldnt want to go against the system would you..

Gilthead… im not saying that because its on the net its true, im simply saying the infomation is readily available if you want to look for it, and I have, I have read plenty on how there is an ‘issue’ about world numbers, I have read plenty on how the goverments are using human subjects on chemical and Biological warfare programme in the US, San Diego and other states, all im saying is that how do we know that this isnt all part of the big plan… ? we are all just numbers..
