ANDY PRIAULX is set to have an incredibly busy 2010.
It was confirmed over the weekend that Guernsey’s three-time FIA World Touring Car champion will stay with BMW for next year’s championship.
But, for the first time, he will have a team-mate in Augusto Farfus and the pair will also take part in the American Le Mans Series in their BMW 320si cars and selected GT sports cars races.
Priaulx is looking forward to the next 12 months. ‘This will be another busy year for me, but to do both touring cars and sports cars for BMW is a great prospect,’ he said.
‘You need very different skills and I shall relish the challenges.’
The ALMS is a sports car racing series based in the United States and Canada. It consists of a series of endurance and sprint races and was created in the spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Race lengths vary from one hour, 40 minutes to 12 hours.
