LAST night’s downpour could not stop late shoppers on the Bridge feeling the Christmas cheer.

Families and couples turned out to do their Christmas shopping and be entertained by the Guernsey Concert Brass band.

Jodie Eon, 20, said she was left feeling even more festive than after her late-night Town shopping trip.

‘The Bridge is less busy and more intimate. I am feeling the Christmas spirit now that we have come down here,’ she said.

The rain was no problem as long as you had an umbrella, she said.

‘I like the Bridge because there is good stuff available here. I got what I needed, although there could be a few more shops.’
