Coach wants to see consistency

PLAYER-COACH Jordan Reynolds says that the Guernsey 1st XV need to be more consistent if they are to win the London Two South-West division.
The Australian was purring after the 42-10 thumping of Twickenham but said that would mean nothing if they did not solve their inconsistency and improve on their home form.
‘We seem to have a really good away record – shame we have dropped a couple at home,’ said Reynolds, who added that there was no shortage of contenders for man-of-the-match in the win which keeps them within two points of the leaders in a remarkably tight top half of the table.
‘I can always tell, regardless of the scorecard, when it’s a really strong performance by the lads, as I will look to award my players points and find I have seven or eight contenders.
‘This week was a perfect example of this. Guys like Barts [Nick Barton] and Blair Campbell had exceptional games, also Divon Crouse played one of the best games – his played for Guernsey. Simon [Sharrott] and Gregg [Bibby] had great games as well, leading us up front, and once again young Tom Ceillam had an absolute stormer.
