Markets ice rink ‘mobbed’ on its first weekend

AN ESTIMATED 2,000 people took to the ice at the weekend.

The Sure skating rink in Market Square was opened to the public on Saturday and James Evans, of Everything Ice, said they had been ‘mobbed’.
‘We’re really pleased with how it’s going,’ he said.
‘Everyone seems to be embracing it – it is going really well.’
The rink will be open seven days a week until 4 January.
Friday saw Dancing On Ice winner Kyran Bracken open the rink.
