TWO lucky 13-year-olds had the chance to be firefighters for an hour this week.
Les Beaucamps High School students Lisa Gray and Billie Locke were invited by the Fire & Rescue Service to have a go at their job after Lisa was picked as one of the finalists for the crime prevention calendar.
That aims to drive the Respect message against anti-social behaviour.
Her design encourages people to respect the emergency services.
Lisa’s drawing of a burning building and fire engine caught the eye of the service and, as a reward, the two friends were kitted out in firefighter gear to take part in a mock emergency exercise.
