Rider badly hurt in rush-hour collision

A 21-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist suffered severe leg and foot injuries in an accident in Longue Rue yesterday evening.
The busy Vale road was closed for more than two hours between Rue du Pont Vaillant and the Camp du Roi traffic lights as paramedics attended to the patient at the scene.
Long delays ensued as traffic was directed past the Pont Vaillant estate to Verte Rue.
The ambulance and rescue service was called to the collision, between an L-plated KTM motorcycle and a white BMW, at 5.08pm.
