ROVERS wrapped up the end of the first half of the indoor cricket season with a stunning win over Wanderers in the Grant Thornton Division One Grand Final on Sunday.

The young Rovers side played out of their skins in the 56-run victory at the Indoor Cricket Guernsey centre.

‘We were superb and I think we only missed a couple of chances in the field,’ said Rovers captain Lee Savident, who is also the centre’s manager.

‘Fair play to the boys – they did very, very well.’

Rovers were made up of Savident, Tom Magson, Jake Le Marchant, Mitchell Le Tissier, Robbie Le Corre, Adam Martel, Ben Fitchet and Andrew Hutchinson.

Wanderers reached the final after a brilliant 17-run win over Cobo, who had run away with the league having won every game.
