CROWDS descended on Town for the last Thursday shopping evening before Christmas.
A bitterly cold wind failed to deter those who wanted to buy more presents or just soak up the festive atmosphere
The Christmas Street Party drew large numbers to Mansell Street where some 25 stalls were selling a variety of goodies in the open air.
It was organised by The Gallery and co-director Genevieve Langford said she had wanted to build on previous events such as August’s Big Lunch and October’s Supper in the Street.
‘The other events were quite food orientated and we wanted to open it up a bit,’ she said.
‘The objective is for one night to show people just what this area can be like.’
Market traders, charity stalls and other businesses worked side-by-side in the street.
