Chiara asks island to help show she has Gatwick Factor

Chiara Beebe A DELAYED flight gave one Guernsey girl the chance to prove that she has got the X Factor this Christmas.

Chiara Beebe needs islanders to help vote her queen of the Gatwick Factor – a singing competition she took part in at the airport earlier this month.

Chiara, 17 (pictured), an upper sixth pupil at the Grammar School, was on her way back to Guernsey on 16 December.

She had been for an interview at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, to study music when her mum spotted the festive karaoke competition.

‘Our flight was about to be called but it was delayed by five minutes so I had a quick go.

‘It wasn’t very good, I didn’t really know what I was doing,’ she said.

Chiara chose the song ‘All I want for Christmas’.
