Clinical block handed over a month late but on budget
Thursday 24th December 2009, 2:29PM GMT.

THE new clinical block at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital has been officially handed over by the building contractors, a month late.
Health and Social Services took possession of the building from Charles Le Quesne (Gsy) Ltd at noon yesterday, although some minor works will be completed by the company early next year.
The building will now be clinically cleaned and furniture and equipment installed.
The project has taken 23 months to complete and the overall cost is reported to be within budget.
Final figures have not yet been revealed.
The block will house renal dialysis, oncology, cardio/respiratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and dietetic departments, two medical wards, assessment and rehabilitation wards, and the day assessment unit, which will move from the King Edward VII Hospital.
