Diarrhoea and vomiting close ward

AN OUTBREAK of diarrhoea and vomiting has closed Victoria Wing at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
The decision was taken by Health and Social Services at 9am yesterday after three patients and four staff developed symptoms over Sunday night.
Tests are under way to identify the cause of the outbreak.
The ward will be closed to all new admissions and visitors other than close relatives of current patients until there are no fresh cases for 48 hours.
