STEVE PARK will not be staying on as North secretary after being left underwhelmed by the outcome of North’s clear-the-air meeting.
The meeting between players and committee was held after the club’s 3-2 Clydesdale International FA Cup defeat by Rangers on Sunday.
First-team coach Mick Le Prevost declined to attend the meeting described by club president Dave Finn as ‘constructive and beneficial’ but not sufficiently so to convince Park to stay.
Speaking yesterday the departing secretary said: ‘Things remain the same, although I have been asked to stay on until they find a new secretary.
‘I have handed my keys over.’
Park agreed that while it was a good meeting – players and coaches from across the club were present – he does not believe things will change sufficiently behind the scenes and for that reason his resignation, which he offered last week, stands.
He will not change his mind.

Clear the air meeting?
More like a smoke screen, there must have been so many coaches and players crammed into that changing room… so many in fact that nobody could get to be heard by the committee
The rumor is that more players and some coaches will go by the end of this month
Horses, stable, door still open.
EGM anyone?
