GUERNSEY got their national league campaign back on track with two easy victories over the weekend.
The Greens had been having a torrid time in their debut season in Division Four South West having lost six matches on the bounce.
But they put that behind when they first overcame Cornwall Cougars on Saturday and then Bristol Storm the following day.
The Sarnians had beaten the pair at the start of the season to register their only two wins prior to the weekend.
‘We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but we’ve got our season back on track,’ said Guernsey’s assistant coach and starting power-forward Nigel Govett, who stood in for absent boss Jeff Stuart.
‘It was a huge relief to get two wins. They were two wins that we really wanted, but the important thing was the way we won them.
‘We played decent basketball.’
