Friday 22nd January 2010, 2:29PM GMT.
PARKING charges at the airport are on the rise.
From 1 February, short-term charges will rise by £1.
The first hour will remain free, but the cost of parking for six hours will rise to £3, then to £5 for up to 12 hours and £7 for up to 18 hours.
Parking for 24 hours will remain at £8.
Airport director Colin Le Ray said prices had been frozen since 2002, except for a fall in the daily rate in 2006.
‘Even with the slight increase in some charge bands, we will still provide of the cheapest parking of any airport,’ he said.
