Frances House in Deal, Kent, is run by the Martha Trust, which provides residential and respite care for people with profound disabilities.
The local business has been designing homes for the trust since 2003 after winning a competition that year to extend one of its residential homes.
Since then, TDA has completed four projects for the trust and has been retained for two more this year.
‘We are very pleased with the latest completed project for Martha Trust,’ said TDA director Brian Tyrrell.
‘Although the project is relatively small compared with some of the other projects we have completed and are currently working on, we are proud to be involved with a project that has such an influence on the residents, residents’ families and staff.’
Frances House consists of a four-bedroom single-storey wing with specialist design features including the installation of hoist systems that enable residents to be transported to specialist en-suite facilities, specialist sanitary provisions such as Arjo bathing systems, disabled toilets and basins, and nurse call facilities.
