New crusher can save thousands

It means that a massive stockpile of more than 1,000 tons of coarsely-crushed coloured glass stored at Longue Hougue can finally be processed and given to Ronez.
The company will use it as aggregate.
The glass has been stored on the site where the controversial energy-from-waste plant is planned.
Ronez has now agreed with the Public Services Department to reuse the material processed for the next three years in building material.
The contents of hundreds of one-ton bags currently stored at Longue Hougue were originally earmarked for a local construction company.
But after that company rejected the material, it transpired that the glass was not fine enough for Ronez to use as aggregate.
