Day of flight delay misery capped with wrong luggage

Monday 1st February 2010, 2:29PM GMT.

Aurigny ATRAURIGNY passengers travelling from Gatwick were angry yesterday after repeated delays saw them stranded at the airport for most of the day.

And when they finally arrived in Guernsey, some found out their

luggage had been put on another aircraft.

Morning flights were delayed because of ice on the runway in Guernsey.

That was cleared by 10am, but technical faults with Aurigny aircraft meant it was impossible for the airline to catch up with all of its services.

The 11.50am service was one of the flights from Gatwick to have been affected and it finally arrived at 6.30pm. Manchester flights were also delayed.

Passengers said they were not informed about what was happening at all and, instead, were eventually given a £5 voucher to spend in the departure lounge.
