RACE ace Andy Priaulx was yesterday handed the keys to a car specially adapted for Guernsey DriveAbility.

The triple World Touring Car champion is patron of the charity, which was given the car by the Lions Club of Guernsey.

The club bought a new Ford Fiesta, which was specially adapted in the UK and fitted with driving aids. The conversion was paid for by funds from the Xmas lottery.

Guernsey DriveAbility provides a specialist assessment and tuition service for people requiring advice, assessment, training or rehabilitative retraining in medical fitness to drive.

Mr Priaulx accepted the car yesterday afternoon from Lions president Tim Falla.
