Breaking news: knife charge

POLICE have charged a 52-year-old local man with unlawful wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an alleged knife attack at a private house on Grand Fort Road, St Sampson’s.
The alleged victim is a 51-year-old man who remains in hospital receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
The incident is thought to have occurred at about 12.15pm on Wednesday.
The man has been detained in custody and will appear in court later today.
Detective Inspector Ashley Nicholas, who is leading the investigation, has appealed for a woman driving a silver coloured people carrier along Grand Fort Road at that time to come forward.
