North lose skipper for last chancer
Saturday 6th February 2010, 2:29PM GMT.

Darren Martin is out of the North side for today’s big game in Jersey. (0798504)
NORTH will be without their versatile skipper in Jersey today where they face Craig Culkin’s seemingly invincible St Paul’s in the semi-finals of the Wheway Cup and a re-match of last season’s Upton.
Darren Martin has a foot injury which is unlikely to keep him out of next weekend’s Carlsberg FA National System Cup, but today’s game at St Saviour comes a little too early for the man who is expected to play at right back against the Hertfordshire League.
While today’s game represents North’s final chance of winning silverware at first-team level this season, the Jersey side are bidding to reach their third cup final of the campaign.
With the Charity Cup already won and a place in the Jeremie Cup final against St Martin’s booked for April, a third final appearance is beckoning for a team unbeaten in 24 matches and just two losses in 48 games dating back to 29 November 2008.
Kick off at St Saviour is at 1 pm and an hour later three Division One games go ahead in Guernsey.
