Watson loses in quarters

THIRD seed Anna Hlavackova ended Heather Watson’s title hopes of the top prize at the $25,000 ITF tour event in Sutton, London yesterday.

The 23-year-old Czech who is ranked 158 in the world, beat Watson 6-3, 6-3 at the quarter-final stage.
