A TEENAGER was left fuming after his motorbike was destroyed in an arson attack.
Joel Henry, 16, was at his aunt’s house at Ville es Pies, near Vale Junior School, when his sister told him a bike was on fire in the lane.
By the time he got outside the Fire and Rescue Service had already put out the flames and Joel realised it was his KTM 125.
‘I’m more angry and frustrated rather than upset, that it happened to my bike. I did not expect something like that to happen in that part of the island,’ he said.
The trainee storage assistant paid for the £1,350 machine using his wages and an inheritance from his grandfather.
He bought it just six months ago. The bike was not insured for fire damage and Joel said he would have to pay for another one out of his own pocket.

I feel sorry for you Joel. I hope, however unlikely, that they catch whoever did this.
It might have helped if TiG mentioned the day and time with the classic ‘if anyone has any information….’.

Not a nice thing to happen to anyone – but dare I say a minimum of fire and theft cover on your insurance policy is always a good idea?
