The popular Sky Sports Saturday morning football show took their cameras to Foote’s Lane on Sunday morning to film players from the Motherwell and Hamilton Academical academies try their luck in the programme’s Skill Skool and Crossbar Challenge features.
Watching the two squads fail the Crossbar Challenge and overseeing the Skill Skool was Soccer AM stalwart ‘Rocket’, who praised those who put themselves on the line for the footy skills test.
‘The lads were great and pulled off some good tricks,’ he said.
Jordan McCue represented Hamilton and Lee Erwin of Motherwell.
‘We’re not sure who has won it. The guests on the sofa will decide on it next Saturday, or the Saturday after,’ said Rocket, who takes the ‘Skool’ all over the country.
With their team-mates looking on, the two trialists quickly overcame their nerves and after a couple of practice runs were filmed.
‘I was impressed with both,’ said Rocket.
