This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club and the ‘scrambling’ section returned to the humps and bumps at Pleinmont at the weekend.
The meeting was delayed in starting due to vice-captain Jason King repeating his accident at the close of his 2009 season in warm-up. He flipped the bike, down it went and a trip to A and E was in order.
Despite the delay things got under way with the auto class where Adam Godwin from Jersey claimed three wins out of three.
Behind him there were a new batch of riders keen and eager to ride their machines.
Daniel Robinson took a clean first in all of his races after moving from the 85 big-wheels, while in the adult open the Pearce brothers, Jake and Brett, did battle with their new 450cc machines.
With these lads moving to this class it will hot up the pressure on the rest.
