NASHCOPY were made to battle by their clubmates, but secured another important win last week in the OSA Recruitment Ladies’ Volleyball League.

With the absence of Tracy Hubert due to injury, Paula Coquelin stepped in and coach Rodney Elmy was confident that his girls would perform well and put their training into practice against Gestetner.

In the first set Karen Archenoul confidently served to help Nash take the first couple of points but Gestetner, with their great team ethos, broke the opposition’s serve to take a 6-3 lead.

The Nash girls were struggling to find their groove, but fought back to 10-10 and took the lead with excellent net skills from Carla Martel.

At 13-10 down, Gestetner were rattled and called a time out.

Julia Webber was working well in the back court and was delivering fantastic passes to make the setters’ – Karen Jehan and Archenoul – lives easier.

Then from 19-15, Martel’s strong serve helped extend the lead to seven forcing another Gestetner time out, but Nash held out to take the opener 25-18.
