Bels almost there
Monday 22nd February 2010, 2:30PM GMT.
THE Guernsey Football Association should start hunting for their blue-and-white ribbons to tie on the Priaulx Cup.
Bels enjoyed another fruitful weekend as they picked up three more points while St Martin’s could only draw and North suffered defeat, which means that Ian Champion’s men now have an 11-point cushion at the top of Division One.
Champion (pictured) knows his side are in a good position following their 4-1 win over Rangers, but he refuses to get carried away.
‘We’re still not there yet and it would be horrible, though, to lose now.
‘But until that final whistle goes on the last day I’m not taking anything for granted.’
