Monday 22nd February 2010, 2:29PM GMT.
DALE GARLAND pipped Tom Druce to the line by a little more than a tenth of a second on Saturday in Birmingham, but neither Sarnian could finish in the top three.
Competing in the ‘National 400m’ event at the Aviva Grand Prix, Garland clocked 48.03sec. to come home fourth, one place ahead of fellow Sarnian Druce, who crossed the line in 48.15.
But Garland yesterday clocked a superb 46.95, the second quickest time by a Briton this year, to win the Midland Counties title at the NIA.
