THE body of a woman was discovered at the back of a property in St Saviour’s yesterday.
Police went to The Newlyns, a part-pebbledash house at the top of Frie Baton, almost opposite Le Courtil Michele estate, at about 2.30pm.
The woman is not being named until next of kin have been informed but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Rene Archer, 39, who lives at Courtil Michele, said he had gone to Cobo with his son, Brandon, 16, to exercise his racing pigeons.
His son said that neither he nor his father could not remember the last time that they saw anybody in the house and they did not think that anyone lived there.
Detective Sergeant Karl Zierlinger confirmed that, following a call, police attended an address in St Saviour’s at about 2.30pm. The body of a female was discovered at the rear.
‘The investigation is still in the early stages. However, at this moment in time it is not being treated as suspicious.’
