Dale Crowsley helped guide Team UK to victory in the European Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary 4hr Endurance Race in Italy
LOCAL hill climber Dale Crowsley helped Team UK to victory in the European Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Four Hour Endurance Race in Italy.
Crowsley, who is also the co-owner of Forest Road Garage, was invited on to the UK side to compete against teams from all over Europe at the Adria International Raceway near Venice last weekend.
And they produced the goods to take the chequered flag ahead of the 31 other cars.
This was all after Crowsley had had an accident in practice.
‘It was an awesome event and I am completely overwhelmed by the result,’ said Crowsley.
‘None of the Team UK drivers are professionals. However, we did have a very consistent team that worked very well together. The MX-5 was simply superb.
‘The final set-up was perfect for the race and credit goes to our race mechanic John, who works for the privateer Franz Engstler in the WTCC.’
