TONY VANCE is warning his island players of their disciplinary responsibilities after another narrow escape for one of his key men.
Tom Strawbridge’s suspension for being sent off for Saints against Bels on Saturday, starts on 29 March. Fortunately for him and the island side, that’s just two days after the FA Carlsberg National League System Cup semi-final at home to the Dorset Premier League.
Strawbridge was yesterday named in the initial 18-man squad for the game and Vance knows full well that on another occasion he could have lost the player to a ban.
It is not the first time this season that bans have fallen well for the Guernsey squad.
With that in mind and also having seen two more of his top players luckily escape dismissals in recent games, Vance is keen to give his players a public reminder of what he expects from them.
