Spot on Tostevin wins it for North

North 1, Sylvans 0
A PATCHED up North side held on to third place with a dogged victory over Sylvans last night.
North have certainly had their problems this season with players leaving, an injury list as long as your arm and some unfavourable results recently.
Boss Mick Le Prevost (pictured) called up a number of his juniors for yesterday’s match at Northfield and they held out a determined bottom-placed Sylvans side who, in all fairness, deserved something out of the match.
‘I said to the boys that we need three points to hold on to third place,’ said Le Prevost afterwards.
‘It was quite an even game. They could have had two or three goals but we could have had more.
‘We’ve got a mixed bag with injuries and we’re just trying to do what we can. It’d be nice to get some players back.’
