Nikki wins national crown in five-target

GUERNSEY shooters have just returned from a successful trip to the British Air Pistol Championships in Bisley.
All members of the team came back from the competition with silverware or medals.
The championships are open to all shooters from around the UK with entries from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Shetland and the Channel Islands.
The event attracts 250-300 air pistol and air rifle shooters.
Nikki Trebert won the five-target women’s competition to become British champion with 12.
Finishing third in the women’s standard air pistol with 235 ex 300, Trebert entered the main championship in fifth place and managed to finish a respectable fourth with only three points separating second to fifth positions. The British women’s champion was Mary Norman from Jersey.
