Nena Copperwaite will captain Guernsey A. (0378716)
GUERNSEY are shaking things up in a bid to stop Jersey making it five inter-insular victories in a row this weekend.
The Reds have won the biggest crown in Channel Islands netball every year since 2006.
They claimed last season’s honours with a crushing defeat at Beau Sejour.
With the 2010 event at Fort Regent on Sunday, Guernsey have named three starting debutants and assistant coach Denise Bourgaize, who will run the team in the absence of James Robert who is in South Africa representing the England men’s team at the Indoor Netball World Cup, is confident that this will be their year.
‘They will do this weekend,’ she said.
‘It’s good to have a shake up. You’ve got to try new things and hopefully we can get the win.’
The new starters are Donna Brehaut at wing attack, Claire Green at wing defence and goal shooter Shelly Jager.
