Blondels get the call to go up against the county elite

COUSINS Jamie and Danny Blondel have been selected for the Channel Islands team who will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record against Hampshire at the end of the month.
The Guernsey duo will join six Jersey colleagues for the annual clash, which this year takes place at Hockley Golf Club near Winchester on the weekend of 27 and 28 March.
It is the fourth time the match has been held, with the CI having won their two home fixtures – the inaugural clash at Grouville and last year’s encounter at L’Ancresse – and earning a draw at Blackmoor two years ago.
While Danny Blondel is making his debut, Jamie was part of the team who won the thriller at L’Ancresse, 6.5-5.5.
