Tuesday 16th March 2010, 11:30AM GMT.

Bob BeebeFAMILY and friends of missing exchange student Jonny Dorey are hoping that media coverage will be the key to help find him.

News of the local 22-year-old’s disappearance has hit the headlines in national and international newspapers and on TV programmes including Sky and ITN news.

Dorey family spokesman Bob Beebe (pictured) said that the more awareness there was, the more likely it would be that somebody would come forward if they had any information.

‘After the immense international coverage over the weekend we are hoping that somebody may come forward if they know anything,’ he said.

The Times, the Daily Mail, the Guardian and The Liverpool Echo are just some of the newspapers that have reported on Jonny’s disappearance.

Mr Beebe said a professional mountain biker was helping with the search and is directing police to dangerous biking tracks in the Richmond area.
