St Jacques 22, Guernsey Seconds 0
ST JACQUES managed to do the league double over the Guernsey seconds with a 22-0 victory over their great rivals at the KGV.
‘I was pleased that we managed to come through a sticky few periods in the first half against a determined Guernsey side without conceding any points,’ said St Jacques coach Chris Griffiths (pictured).
‘The second half performance was very pleasing indeed, especially from an attacking point of view. It was very enjoyable to watch and obviously to keep another clean sheet is fantastic.’
Having defeated the seconds 17-0 only a few weeks previously, St Jacques had high hopes of repeating the victory on home pitch.
With the weather and conditions pretty much perfect for playing rugby, both teams set about each other with the usual cut and thrust expected of a local derby match.
