MICK LE PREVOST has not ruled out a return to a coaching role at Northfield – one day – and would be interested in a role within the island coaching set-up.

Speaking three days after quitting as North first-team coach, Le Prevost refused to apportion blame for the problems that have befallen North in recent months and says he departs with fond memories and true affection for the club.

For now, though, his sporting interests lie no further than some relaxing fishing and a few frames of snooker.

There are no hard feelings, he said, even to those players whose sudden departure from the club prior to Christmas sparked a sudden downturn.

‘It was a shame to lose those players, but it happens in football,’ he said.

‘It was after they left that we started getting injuries as well. I’ve always said that you need a big squad.’
