THE deputy who tried to bring back the Suez incinerator has pledged to resign from Public Services because he will not work under a minister who jumps ship.
Tony Spruce said there were many reasons why he could no longer serve on the department, but he was most irritated with what he called bad government and a lack of leadership.
Public Services minister Bernard Flouquet, long-time champion of the Suez incinerator, yesterday voted against Deputy Spruce’s requete that was designed to reinstate it.
‘I was extremely disappointed with the Public Services minister Bernard Flouquet, the Treasury minister Charles Parkinson and Chief Minister Lyndon Trott, who voted against the requete,’ said Deputy Spruce.

I was not for Suez but I totally agree with Tony Spruce about Bernard Flouquet. So much for him resigning if it didnt get in.
