HEATHER WATSON will miss out on a match with world No. 2 Caroline Wozniacki after losing in the first round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

The Guernsey woman lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 to the Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova, ranked 281 places above her in the world rankings.
