A landslide in Sark could cost the island £1m.
A UK inspector’s report said even if work was carried out to stabilise the cliff-face above La Grande Greve, there was no guarantee how long it would last.
The report was commissioned by the douzaine, and compiled by Devon-based Frederick Sherrell Ltd, consulting engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers.
The path, which was partially covered, and beach have been closed to the public since the landslide in early December.
The report, written by Jeremy Rickeard, said a ‘substantial part’ of the cliff-face on the northwest side of La Coupee had collapsed and that, since the slip, further falls had occurred.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
