Guernsey’s biggest game in four years

Saturday 10th April 2010, 9:00AM BST.

Simon SharrottTHE captain is calling it Guernsey’s most important game for four years.

The club president, simply calls it ‘massive’.

Should Guernsey beat Trojans at Foote’s Lane this afternoon, they will almost certainly be guaranteed a promotion play-off against Hove the weekend before the Siam Cup.

The Garenne Stand promises to be practically full – it seats 720 – for the big game and they will be hoping Simon Sharrott’s side end the league season as they started it – by beating the side just 10 minutes from Eastleigh airport.

That is no gimme, though.

‘In terms of the importance of this game it is probably the most important game the club has been involved in, in the last four years,’ said skipper Simon Sharrott (pictured).

    Good luck boys!

With the hard work you have shown this year, it would be fitting for a win today and promotion thereafter.
