Rains hard on two

Sylvans 1, Athletics 1
TICS and Sylvans brought the curtain down on the Division One programme with a spiky 1-1 draw at St Peter’s.
Jacques Ogier (pictured) gave Tics the lead but Sylvans, who had wasted a string of chances, equalised through Brady Lesbirel before the break.
In a second half of few chances, perhaps the best opportunity fell to Tics misfielder Craig Farnham who smashed a 25-yarder just wide with a couple of minutes left.
But as referee Steve Raines struggled to retain control the game saw a double dismissal late on.
Tics captain Vijay Wiltshire went in high on Russell Smith and the Sylvans defender appeared to throw a punch at the visiting skipper.
After consulting his linesman Rains showed red cards to both.
