LOCAL Ultimate Frisbee players had a chance to pick up some tips from an expert at the weekend.

David Pichler, who plays the sport for Great Britain, was in the island to coach the Guernsey players.

Mr Pichler, who lives in Jersey, also plays for club Chevron Action Flash, which won the European championships last year.

More than 25 players took to the field at Les Beaucamps School on Saturday and Sunday for the training sessions.

Mr Pichler was impressed by the talent on show.

‘A lot of these people have just started playing and I can already see some decent throwing,’ he said.
