The countess returns
Wednesday 14th April 2010, 2:29PM BST.
THE Countess of Wessex will be visiting Guernsey next week.
HRH Sophie, Countess of Wessex, will be arriving on the morning of Friday 23 April.
Lt-Governor Sir Fabian Malbon, Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland and Chief Minister Lyndon Trott will meet her before she goes on to visit Guernsey Clematis Nursery.
The countess is the president of Girlguiding UK and will meet local Rainbows, Brownies and Guides at Le Rondin School. She will also meet pupils of Le Rondin and Forest Primary, who will be celebrating five years of the schools working together.
She will then have lunch at Specsavers’ headquarters with Dame Mary Perkins before leaving the island.

Another luncheon… And how much is this visit costing the Guernsey Tax payers ? and only the dole scroungers who aren’t working will be able to see her… typical. Just like Specsavers the offices open to viewing on a weekday.. another opportunity missed by us hard workers, but enjoyed by those not working !

The whole lot is just a burden on honest working people.
They devise ways in which to scrounge a meal here and there; and people actually say,
“aren’t they nice” like at a cat and dog show–
A little miaow, and hearts melt.

@One of the few….
I suggest if you were that keen to take a tour you could have taken an afternoon holiday, a weekend tour would have been mighty boring! I also don’t think ‘dole scroungers’ are that bothered about a tour of a local business TBH.

One of the few – trust me, I’d rather be at work than meeting the Countess of Wessex!
