AS PART of celebrating 40 years of autocross racing on Chouet Beach, the club invited some veterans to take part in a set of races throughout the season.
John Le Page dominated both these initial veterans races and his lead after the first lap proved he could still show the youngsters how to start races.
He was never headed in either event and even Roger King, in Peter Jory’s car, had no answer.
Alan ‘Knocker’ Boscher prepared his own car and took third in both races from Steve Le Gallez in fourth.
The idea for this veterans event came from original member Amos Ozanne and was initially planned for one race.
But due to the interest shown six more races will be run over the next three meetings, including this coming Sunday’s racing.
